Quick answer

One Doc x Hair Doc is a Malaysian facial and scalp-care chain owned by 1 Doc International Berhad, which also runs Slim Doc (body) and Perfect Doc (lifting). Founded in Puchong in 2016, the group had 57 centres — 53 in Malaysia and 4 in Singapore — and FY2024 revenue of RM347.0 million, of which RM60.7 million came from its own products, according to its draft prospectus exposed by the Securities Commission in May 2026. Its four brands hold 115 active NPRA-notified products, and the group states it owns every formulation. Customers rate it a weighted 4.89 stars across 41,254 Google reviews (captured 24–25 September 2026). Figures in a draft prospectus may change before listing.

Who is behind One Doc, and where did it come from?

One Doc was founded by Ong Hong Keat, a Universiti Malaya medical graduate who is Managing Director and CEO, with Chin Boon Keat, the Chief Learning Officer, and Joel Yap Jiang Feng, the Chief Operating Officer. The three set up 1 Doc Trading in 2016 after working together at another beauty group (SC prospectus exposure, 1 Doc International Berhad, sections 5 and 7). The group’s non-executive chairman, appointed in 2025, is YAM Tengku Dato’ Seri Dr Baderul Zaman ibni Almarhum Sultan Mahmud (onedoc.com.my).

It is a founding team with a clear division of strengths — a doctor as CEO, a learning chief who builds the people, and an operator who runs the centres — and it shows in how smoothly the group has scaled.

2016–2018: face, then hair, then both under one roof

The first One Doc facial centre opened in Puchong in 2016. In 2017 the group saw an opportunity in hair and scalp care, acquired a company in Penang and opened the first Hair Doc there. In 2018 came the idea that defined the brand: the first One Doc x Hair Doc centre in Cheras let therapists offer facial and scalp services in the same space, cutting costs and raising the value of each visit (prospectus, section 7.1.1).

2022–2026: body, lifting and Singapore

Slim Doc, a body-contouring brand, opened at Mid Valley in 2022; Perfect Doc, for facial lifting and firming, followed in Kota Damansara in 2023; and the group entered Singapore in 2024. By the prospectus’s latest practicable date it ran 29 One Doc x Hair Doc, 21 Slim Doc and 7 Perfect Doc centres. In 2023 the Ministry of Human Resources approved the group to train its own beauty therapists under the National Dual Training System (prospectus).

What does One Doc sell, and to whom?

One Doc sells beauty-care treatment packages for face, scalp and body, and a take-home range under its four brands that customers buy at the centres. The group describes its services as non-medical beauty treatments delivered by trained beauty therapists, using machines sourced from Korea, China and Germany (prospectus, section 7.4). It does not publish retail prices online.

Product names that do the selling

FireUp, FirmUp, ToneUp, LiftMax, Scalp Regen: One Doc names its products by the result the customer wants. Short, energetic names are easy to remember, easy for a therapist to recommend, and easy to reorder.

A business mix built on repeat visits

In FY2024, body care contributed 43.5% of revenue, face 35.6% and hair 21.0% (prospectus). The package model — customers prepay for a course of sessions and buy products to use between them — turns a beauty centre into a steady, predictable business.

Some products never reach a shelf

The group says some of its formulations “are not available for retail sale and are exclusively used in our beauty care procedures, often in combination with machines” (prospectus, section 7.8). Treatment-room exclusives protect the value of a visit: the result a customer gets at the centre cannot be bought anywhere else.

Why is One Doc growing so fast?

One Doc grows because it turned a single facial concept into a multi-brand system that can be repeated from one mall to the next, and because it owns the products that make each treatment work.

The numbers

Financial year Revenue Product sales Product share
FY2022 RM191.8m RM26.1m 13.6%
FY2023 RM302.4m RM57.0m 18.9%
FY2024 RM347.0m RM60.7m 17.5%
FPE2025 (part year) RM204.9m RM37.9m 18.5%

Source: SC prospectus exposure, May 2026. Profit after tax for FY2024 was RM97.1 million. A draft prospectus may be revised before listing.

Product sales more than doubled in two years. For a brand that sells almost entirely through its own centres, that is a remarkable measure of customer trust.

Customers keep reviewing

We captured 26 One Doc x Hair Doc, Perfect Doc and Slim Doc listings on Google Maps with 41,254 reviews at a weighted 4.89 stars (24–25 September 2026). Seremban, Ipoh and Cheras each passed 3,200 reviews — more than many entire chains.

Where One Doc sells

  • Its own centres — 53 in Malaysia and 4 in Singapore, in high-traffic malls and townships (prospectus).
  • Social media — Facebook onedocskin, Instagram onedoc.my and TikTok.

Six reasons One Doc is winning (our view)

  1. A concept that stacks. Face, then scalp, then body, then lifting — each new brand sells to the same happy customer base.
  2. Shared space, shared staff. Merging One Doc and Hair Doc in 2018 raised revenue per centre without doubling costs.
  3. Formula ownership. Owning every formula means the products — and the results — belong to the brand.
  4. Treatment-room exclusives. Products tied to machines and packages make each visit special.
  5. Its own training pipeline. Government-approved in-house training supplies therapists for 31 new centres.
  6. Capital-market discipline. Preparing for a Main Market listing has produced one of the most detailed public records of any beauty chain in Malaysia.

Lessons for your own brand

  • Own your formulas, and write it into your contracts. One Doc’s prospectus shows how central formula ownership is to its value; our guide to protecting your formula and IP shows how to word it.
  • Design products for the treatment, not just the shelf. Our guide to launching a clinic or spa skincare line covers treatment-room versus retail ranges.
  • Grow by adding brands your customer already needs. Every One Doc brand solves the next concern of the same customer.
  • Build your own academy early. Training capacity decides how fast a service brand can open new doors.

Room to grow

  • Online shopping. We found no official web shop, Shopee or Lazada store linked from its website (25 September 2026); products are sold through the treatment relationship. A simple online reorder channel could make life easier for loyal customers.
  • Listing still ahead. The Bursa listing is pending approvals, and prospectus figures are a draft until then.

Beyond Malaysia

One Doc is already a two-country business: its Singapore subsidiary runs two One Doc x Hair Doc and two Slim Doc centres and files its cosmetic notifications with Singapore’s Health Sciences Authority, and the group plans eight more Singapore centres by 2029 (prospectus). Its model — a multi-brand service chain with its own formulas — is one that beauty groups anywhere can study. Compare it with NARQES, HerbaLine and Dr Ko.
