Quick answer
Ilaj Biocosmetic Sdn. Bhd. (Jenjarom, Selangor, incorporated February 2022) is the fastest-climbing young cosmetics OEM in my records: the NPRA registry shows 258 notified products manufactured for 82 different brands — including D’Herbs Holdings — with notifications quadrupling in 2025, and a published 300-piece MOQ across six categories. It is also a factory I will not yet credit with deep production experience, because three and a half years is not experience — and its online reputation footprint is embarrassingly thin: one Google review. My verdict: endorsed for first-time, small-batch brands, with both eyes open.
What I refuse to give them credit for: experience
Let me be blunt. This company was incorporated on 25 February 2022. I do not accept that three and a half years equals production experience, and I am not going to write the word ‘veteran’ anywhere near this review. Factories are like sourdough starters — the culture takes years to settle. Deviation handling, batch failures at 3am, a QC head who has seen every way an emulsion can split: that is bought with time, and nobody has invented a shortcut.
So when you visit Jenjarom — and you should visit — do not ask how old the company is. Ask how old the TEAM is. Who runs the line? Where did the production manager spend the last ten years? A young company running on borrowed grey hair is fine. A young company running on enthusiasm alone is your batch at risk. Make them show you which one they are.
Now the roast: 82 clients and ONE Google review
Here is the thing I genuinely cannot explain. The NPRA registry says 82 separate brand owners trusted this factory with their products. The shared Google listing for Ilaj Biocosmetic and Ilaj Food Tech shows a 5.0 rating — from exactly one review. One.
Eighty-two paying clients, and eighty-one of them could not be bothered to leave a star? Forget the clients — where are the staff? The suppliers? The courier who collects every week? When I see a gap this wide between real activity and public reputation, I read it one way: this factory is so heads-down on production that nobody is minding the shopfront. That is forgivable in a three-year-old company. It is also lazy, it costs them trust they have already earned, and it makes every first-time founder’s due diligence harder than it needs to be. Ilaj, if you are reading this: you have 82 receipts. Go collect them.
What I genuinely admire: the client curve
And now the other side — because this is where Ilaj beats factories twice its age. Pull the NPRA notification registry and watch the curve: 1 product in 2022. 25 in 2023. 33 in 2024. Then 145 in 2025 — a four-fold explosion — and 54 more in 2026 so far. Factories cannot buy that curve with advertising. Brands come because other brands’ products actually shipped.
Look at who is on the list: D’Herbs Holdings — one of the most recognisable direct-sales beauty names in Malaysia — has 11 notified products made here. Daughters Malaya Skincare has 19. Botrem Healthcare, 13. And the average across 82 clients is three products each, which means most clients came back for a second and a third SKU. Repeat orders are the quietest, most reliable compliment in this industry, and the registry is full of them.
I will say it plainly: this is the best client-acquisition performance I have seen from any Malaysian OEM founded this decade. Whoever is running their pipeline deserves a raise.

What the registries say
NPRA cosmetics registry: 258 notified products list Ilaj BioCosmetic as manufacturer, across 82 distinct product holders (captured 8 September 2026).
JAKIM halal directory: the halal certificate at this address sits with sister company ILAJ FOOD TECH SDN BHD under JAKIM’s contract-manufacturing scheme. Practical meaning: the halal infrastructure is on site, but your product’s own halal status is a separate application under your scope — ask them to walk you through it.
One roof, two industries: cosmetics plus a nutraceuticals, functional foods and drinks line at the same premises. A brand that starts with a serum and later wants a collagen drink does not need to find a second factory. I rarely see this at this size, and it is worth real money in saved vendor-hunting.
Their published terms (screenshots on file)
Ilaj prints MOQ 300 pcs on its own homepage for every category — colour cosmetics, skincare, personal care, oral care, baby care, hair care. In our July 2026 sweep of Malaysian cosmetics OEMs that accept small orders, that is the second-lowest published MOQ in the country. Most factories make you ask. Ilaj publishes. A factory that publishes its floor respects your planning time — more of this, please, industry.

Who should call them — and who should not
Call them if: you are a first-time founder with a RM15,000–30,000 budget; you want colour cosmetics, oral care or baby care — categories most Selangor OEMs will not touch; you might expand from beauty into functional food later; and you will do one factory visit with the team-experience questions above in your pocket.
Look elsewhere if: you need a decade-long audit trail for a pharmacy chain or an export programme; you need deep in-house R&D for genuinely novel formulation; or you need the reassurance of a thick public reputation — because today, Ilaj simply does not have one to show you.
Insider analysis: what the registry says they are strong at — and where I would not send you
Here is the analysis you will not find in any brochure, because I built it from the notification registry itself. Break Ilaj’s 258 NPRA products into segments and a very clear factory personality appears:
Colour cosmetics: 62 products — a quarter of everything they make. Creams and lotions: 42. Cleansers and washes: 28. Serums: 21. Sunscreen and SPF: 15. And scattered through the list, something the segment counts miss: jamu jelita, bedak sejuk berherba, minyak herba — modern takes on traditional Malay beauty.
Put that beside the client roster — Daughters Malaya, D’Herbs, Rashiqa Beauty, Izzati Resources, Fasyeera Empire — and the picture is unmistakable: this factory’s kingdom is the Malay-market beauty brand, especially direct-sales brands, and it is one of very few small OEMs genuinely fluent in colour cosmetics. If that is you, Ilaj probably speaks your language better than factories twice its size.
Now the other half — where I would NOT send you, on today’s evidence:
Fragrance: zero. Not one perfume, EDP or body mist in 258 notifications. If a fragrance line is on your roadmap, this is not your factory today. Export and retail-chain work: the client list is entirely SME and direct-sales brands — I found no multinational, no pharmacy chain, no export-market evidence, so if you need audit-grade export documentation, probe very hard before committing. Deep custom R&D: a curve this fast usually rides on ready-formula adaptation, which is efficient — but if you need ground-up custom development with claims support, make them prove it with a project reference, not a promise.

FAQ
Is Ilaj Biocosmetic an experienced manufacturer?
Define experienced. The company was incorporated in February 2022, so the corporate track record is three and a half years — I do not consider that seasoned, and neither should you. What it does have is 258 NPRA-notified products across 82 brands in that time, which proves high-volume, real-world production. Ask about the technical team’s individual experience before you sign; the company’s youth makes that question mandatory.
What is Ilaj Biocosmetic’s minimum order quantity?
The published MOQ is 300 pieces per category, printed on the company’s own homepage as of 8 September 2026 — the second-lowest published figure among Malaysian cosmetics OEMs in our July 2026 sweep. Custom formulations may carry different terms; confirm in writing.
Which brands does Ilaj Biocosmetic manufacture for?
The NPRA registry lists 82 distinct product holders, the largest being Daughters Malaya Skincare (19 products), Ringgit Board Holdings (18), Botrem Healthcare (13) and D’Herbs Holdings (11). These are regulator records, not testimonials.
Why does Ilaj Biocosmetic have so few Google reviews?
As of 8 September 2026 the shared listing shows one review. Our reading: a production-focused young company that has never worked its public reputation — the gap between 82 registry-verified clients and one review is the strangest thing about this factory, and worth asking them about directly.
Is Ilaj Biocosmetic halal certified?
The JAKIM certificate at the Jenjarom premises is held by sister company Ilaj Food Tech under the contract-manufacturing scheme. Cosmetic products carry halal status per product scope — discuss your product’s pathway with the factory directly.
