Quick answer

OTC Cosmetic Industries Sdn Bhd is a GMP-listed cosmetics manufacturer in Ijok, Selangor, owned within the Living Natural group. Unlike most Malaysian OEMs of its size, it does not serve creator brands: its customers are retail and distributor brands such as Bzu Bzu, Baby Hippo, Applecrumby, Plant Origins and Bioglo, which sell through pharmacies and supermarkets. It holds 312 active notifications, 33rd of 355 manufacturers, concentrated in baby care, wipes, creams and hair care, and its JAKIM certificate lists 17 products, including four for a client brand. Its own website claims 30 years of experience for a company incorporated in 2014, and publishes no certificate numbers.

Key takeaways

  • A retail-channel factory. Its clients are established brands with shelf distribution, not TikTok-first startups.
  • Baby and personal care is the core: baby wash, wipes, creams, hair and home care.
  • 312 active notifications for 37 clients, an average of eight products each — far deeper relationships than the industry norm.
  • Halal is partly visible: 17 products on its JAKIM certificate, of which four belong to a client brand.
  • Claims outrun the record: "30 years' experience" against a 2014 incorporation, and eight certification logos with no certificate numbers.

Who this profile is for

For brand owners and distributors who need a manufacturer for baby care, wipes, body care or home care destined for pharmacy and supermarket shelves, and who need to know what is documented before a retail buyer asks.

How big is the factory?

Mid-sized. The NPRA-listed plant at No. 3 Jalan Industri Bukit Badong 3 is a single detached building with a long covered loading side facing the road. We measured its roof on Google Maps satellite imagery at about 4,094 m² (22 Sep 2026). The group website's "4 acres of land" refers to the land, not the building; the roofed area we measured is roughly a quarter of four acres.

What kind of factory is this?

A retail-supply factory. Its client list reads like a pharmacy aisle rather than a TikTok feed:

Brand owner (NPRA holder) Brands Active products Share
Elite Beauty Asia (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd Bzu Bzu, Juniors 59 18.9%
Quantum Upstream Sdn Bhd Bebelove Kids, Ima Morii, Melanique 27 8.7%
Smells Good Holdings Sdn Bhd Bath Garden, Love Maya 26 8.3%
Weglobe Marketing Sdn Bhd Wellsen 23 7.4%
OTC Cosmetic Industries (own brands) MIA, Mamiko 22 7.1%
Baby Private Brands Sdn Bhd Baby Hippo, Pebbles 17 5.4%
Centureon Technology Group PLT Plant Origins 16 5.1%
Rank Distributors Sdn Bhd Bioglo, L'elan Vital 14 4.5%
Fasyeera Empire Sdn Bhd Charms lines 12 3.8%
Duchess Mercantiles Sdn Bhd Applecrumby 12 3.8%

Only seven of its 37 clients have a single product, and 23 of them also manufacture elsewhere — a normal pattern for retail brands, which split production across several suppliers. By category: creams and lotions 100, hair 37, perfume 22, soaps and body washes 19, serums 17, cleansers 12. Baby and mum care, including wet wipes, is its stated speciality.

Filing volume has grown steadily rather than explosively: 58 new notifications in 2024, 111 in 2025 and 78 in the first eight months of 2026.

What it says about itself

From cosmeotc.com.my and the group site livingnatural.com.my (both captured 20 Sep 2026):

  • "cumulative of 30 years' experience", with counters showing 30 years, 1,200 products created, 14 countries and 99 satisfaction.
  • Export markets named include Brazil, New Zealand, the UAE, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore.
  • Living Natural: "One of Malaysia's Top 10 Skincare Product Manufacturers", "We Produce More Than 300 Types of Skincare Products", a factory on "4 acres of land … equivalent to 2 football fields", and an R&D department with "more than 3000 product formulas".
  • Certification logos displayed: GMP, HACCP, Halal, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22716, SEDEX and Walmart.

Where the claims meet the record

Claim What the record shows
"30 years' experience" OTC Cosmetic Industries was incorporated in 2014; the group company Living Natural in 2011. The 30 years presumably belong to the people, not the companies
Eight certification logos, including ISO 22716 and SEDEX No certificate number, issuing body or expiry is published for any of them. Only GMP is independently corroborated, through NPRA's QUEST listing
"Halal certified" Verified, and better than most: its JAKIM record lists 17 products (20 Sep 2026). Note that 12 of the 17 are its own MIA and Mamiko brands; four are the client brand Suu Balm
"One of Malaysia's Top 10 skincare manufacturers" By active NPRA notifications it ranks 33rd of 355. On baby and wipes specifically it is a significant supplier, but the top-10 claim is not supported by the register
Exports to 14 countries We found no trade records to confirm the list
"OTC" in the company name It holds no pharmaceutical manufacturing licence: it does not appear on the MOH approved pharmaceutical manufacturers list

None of this is a regulatory problem. It matters because retail buyers ask for certificate numbers, and a factory that publishes logos without them will slow a listing down.

Strengths

  • Deep, stable client relationships: an average of eight products per client, with several retail brands running full ranges here.
  • A genuine niche in baby care and wipes, a category with its own safety expectations.
  • Halal that reaches at least one client brand, which is more than most Malaysian OEMs of its size manage.
  • A real plant: about 4,094 m² under one roof at the NPRA-listed site.
  • Two sites and a declared 51–100 staff, suggesting real operational depth for its category.

Limitations

  • Documentation is not public: no certificate numbers, no MOQ, no lead time, no capacity.
  • Age and ranking claims are not supported by the register.
  • Almost no digital presence: 16 followers on its Facebook page, no Instagram or TikTok, and a LinkedIn company page that returns an error.
  • Ownership is not public: directors and shareholders sit behind paid company-search reports.

Best suited for, and not ideal for

Best suited for: baby-care, wipes, body-care and home-care brands heading for pharmacy, supermarket or distributor channels, and established brands that want a long-running supplier relationship.

Not ideal for: colour cosmetics and creator-led launches, brands that need certificate numbers up front for a retail or export audit without asking, or founders who want a factory that answers on social media.

Questions to ask before you list with them

  1. Please send the certificate numbers and issuing bodies for GMP, ISO 22716, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, HACCP and SEDEX, plus expiry dates.
  2. Which products are on your halal certificate today, and will mine be added?
  3. Which site will make my product: Ijok or Sungai Buloh? Only Ijok is on NPRA's list.
  4. What are the MOQ, lead time and price break points for my format?
  5. For wipes and baby products, what microbiological and safety testing comes with each batch?

FAQ

Who owns OTC Cosmetic Industries?

The company describes itself as part of the same group as Living Natural Sdn Bhd, and its JAKIM record uses a Living Natural email address. Individual directors and shareholders are not published free of charge and we did not buy a company-search report.

Which brands does OTC Cosmetic Industries make?

Its largest clients by active notifications are Elite Beauty Asia (Bzu Bzu, Juniors, 59 products), Quantum Upstream (Bebelove Kids, Ima Morii, Melanique, 27), Smells Good Holdings (Bath Garden, Love Maya, 26), Weglobe (Wellsen, 23), Baby Private Brands (Baby Hippo, 17), Centureon (Plant Origins, 16), Rank Distributors (Bioglo, 14) and Duchess Mercantiles (Applecrumby, 12), per the NPRA extract of 6 Sep 2026.

Is OTC Cosmetic Industries halal certified?

Yes. Its JAKIM certificate, reference 070-08/2017, covers the cosmetics and contract-manufacturing categories, and on 20 Sep 2026 its company record listed 17 products: eight MIA, four Mamiko, four Suu Balm and one Wecoco. Most of its 312 active products are not on the certificate, so confirm your own SKU.

Is OTC a pharmaceutical manufacturer?

No. Despite the name, it does not appear on the Ministry of Health's list of approved pharmaceutical manufacturers. It is a cosmetics manufacturer on NPRA's QUEST list.

Is OTC Cosmetic Industries one of the top OEM manufacturers in Malaysia?

It is a mid-sized one: 312 active notifications, 33rd of 355 Malaysian cosmetics manufacturers (NPRA extract, 6 Sep 2026), with a plant of about 4,094 m². It is not in our evidence report on Malaysia's skincare OEM manufacturers, because only 58 of its contract-manufactured products are skincare, below that report's 100-product category screen; its strength is baby and personal care.

How old is the company?

OTC Cosmetic Industries Sdn Bhd was incorporated on 24 October 2014, and the group company Living Natural Sdn Bhd on 23 December 2011. Its website's "30 years" refers to accumulated experience, not the companies' age.

What is OTC's minimum order quantity?

It does not publish one, nor a lead time or capacity figure. Ask for all three, with price breaks, for your exact format.
