China’s household cleaning industry is dominated by a small number of enormous branded groups
— Liby, Blue Moon, Nice Group — whose products fill supermarket shelves under their own
names. That makes it easy to assume the country’s biggest cleaning-product companies are also its
biggest cleaning-product OEM factories. In practice, the opposite is often true: a branded giant
selling its own detergent at national scale has little incentive to also manufacture a rival
brand’s product line, and several of China’s largest household-care names show no public evidence
of doing so at all.

This review focuses specifically on manufacturers that actually publish, or can otherwise
document, a third-party OEM/ODM or private-label programme for home care and household cleaning
products — laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, household cleaners and related lines —
so a brand owner sourcing a contract manufacturer does not waste a sales call on a company that
simply is not in that business.

Quick answer

The strongest OEM/ODM home care manufacturer we reviewed in China is Zanyu Technology Group, a
Hangzhou-based company founded in 1965 with a stated 1.1 million tonnes of OEM/ODM finished
product capacity a year and named client relationships with P&G and Unilever, backed by four
ISO-family certifications. Topseller Chemicals, a Shandong Chunlong Group subsidiary with a
similarly long client list, ranks second. Seven of the ten China-based candidates we reviewed
passed our screen for genuine third-party contract manufacturing; the three largest household
names we checked — Liby, Blue Moon and Nice Group — were excluded because none show
evidence of manufacturing for outside brands.

Key takeaways

  • Only 7 of the 10 Chinese home care manufacturers we reviewed could be verified as offering
genuine third-party OEM/ODM contract manufacturing; the three excluded are all large branded FMCG
groups that manufacture only their own consumer products.
  • Zanyu Technology Group and Topseller Chemicals both explicitly name P&G and Unilever as
clients on independent trade sourcing (not just their own marketing), which is a meaningfully
    stronger signal than certifications alone.
  • Founding years in this category run much older than in general cosmetics OEM — Zanyu
(1965) and Topseller (1990) both predate China’s post-2000 cosmetics-OEM boom, reflecting how long
industrial detergent chemistry has been a mature manufacturing sector in China.
  • Certification density drops off sharply below the top four candidates: three of the seven
eligible manufacturers here (Zhongtang Lile, HuiJi, Qiaoshou) list at most two independently
    named standards, if any.
  • China’s three best-known household cleaning brands — Liby, Blue Moon and Nice Group
    — were all excluded from this ranking: each is a genuine, large manufacturer, but none
offers a documented contract-manufacturing service to outside brands.

Who this review is for

This list is for brand owners, retailers and private-label buyers sourcing a Chinese contract
manufacturer for laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, household cleaners or related home care
products — whether launching a new home care line or adding a second-source factory to an
existing supply chain. It is not a ranking of China’s largest household-brand companies generally;
several of the country’s best-known names are deliberately excluded here precisely because they
do not offer contract manufacturing. For background on how OEM and ODM arrangements work more
broadly, see our companion explainers on what OEM
means
and what ODM means.

Eligibility rules we applied

Before ranking, every candidate had to be an operating manufacturer with a verifiable corporate
registration or business listing and a live website, offering OEM/ODM/private-label contract
manufacturing of home care or household cleaning products to third-party brands — not solely
a manufacturer of its own consumer brand. This screen removed three of the ten candidates we
reviewed, including two of China’s best-known household names, because a large production
footprint making a company’s own branded product is a different business from a contract
manufacturing service, and buyers researching this category need to know which is which before
they reach out.

How we chose

We scored every eligible candidate against four dimensions: certification (30% — breadth
and independence of ISO/industry-standard evidence), product specialisation (25% — how
directly the company’s own product scope matches home care/household cleaning), scale and capacity
(25% — stated production tonnage, facility size and headcount) and track record (20% —
founding year and named client relationships). Research was carried out during the week of 24
August 2026, drawing on each company’s own official website as the primary source and
cross-checking client claims (such as P&G and Unilever relationships) against an independent
industry roundup rather than accepting them from a single source alone. We did not place orders or
audit any facility for this review.

The 7 suppliers, reviewed

1. Zanyu Technology Group Co., Ltd. — review score 95/100

Founded in 1965 in Hangzhou, Zanyu is the oldest and highest-scoring company in this review.
Its own site states 1.1 million tonnes of OEM/ODM finished product capacity annually alongside 1.35
million tonnes of surfactant production, and it names both P&G and Unilever as clients —
a claim corroborated by an independent industry roundup rather than resting on Zanyu’s own page
alone (en.zanyu.com). It holds four company-stated
certifications: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and EU Cosmetic GMP. Its product scope spans laundry
detergent, dishwashing liquid, surfactants, oleochemicals and general household cleaning.
Best suited for: brands placing large-volume orders who want multinational-grade
supply chain evidence. Not ideal for: small first-batch orders — a
million-tonne-scale operation is generally built around volume commitments.

2. Topseller Chemicals Co., Ltd. — review score 87/100

A subsidiary of Shandong Chunlong Group founded in 1990 and based in Longkou, Shandong,
Topseller states 600,000 tonnes of annual capacity split across detergent powder, liquid detergent
and dishwashing liquid, with more than 600 employees (accio.com). The same independent industry roundup that corroborated
Zanyu’s client list also names P&G, Unilever and Henkel as Topseller clients (source), and it holds four company-stated ISO
certifications (9001, 14001, 45001, 50001). Best suited for: brands wanting
multinational-grade detergent manufacturing with a slightly smaller minimum scale than Zanyu.
Not ideal for: buyers who want every claim sourced from the company’s own site
— its client list here comes from independent reporting, not its own homepage.

3. Zhejiang Jifu Daily Chemical Co., Ltd. — review score 75/100

Founded in 2019 in Huzhou, Zhejiang — the newest company in this review — Jifu
operates a 60,000 sqm facility with a stated 300,000 tonnes of liquid detergent capacity a year and
200,000 bottles a day (made-in-china.com). It carries the broadest certification list among
the mid-tier candidates here — ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 22000, BRC, SMETA and Walmart
supplier certification — which is a genuinely relevant signal for brands selling through
large retail chains. Its product scope extends beyond core detergent into hand soap, cosmetics and
disinfection products. Best suited for: brands needing retail-compliance evidence
(BRC, Walmart supplier status) for a modern facility. Not ideal for: buyers who
weight founding year and long operating history heavily — Jifu is the youngest company on
this list by more than a decade.

4. Dongguan Ufine Daily Chemical Co., Ltd. — review score 71/100

Founded in 2005 in Dongguan, Guangdong, Ufine operates a facility stated at more than 20,000
sqm and holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification (ufinechem.com). Its standout claim is a named
strategic partnership with BASF of Germany, alongside its own consumer brands Qian Die and Cat
Superhero — evidence that it operates both an OEM business and owned brands side by side.
Its product scope covers household cleaner, laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent.
Best suited for: brands wanting a manufacturer with a named international raw
material partnership. Not ideal for: buyers prioritising the largest possible
production scale — its facility footprint is smaller than the top three on this list.

5. Zhongtang Lile (Dongguan Zhongtang Lile Detergent Factory) — review score 56/100

Founded in 2011 in Dongguan, Zhongtang Lile publishes one of the widest product-format ranges
in this review — washing powder, liquid detergent, dishwashing liquid, laundry softener,
bleach, laundry pods, hand soap and body bath soap — across more than 10 production lines,
with a stated annual output value of US$2.5–5 million and 5,000 tonnes a year on its flagship
washing powder line (made-in-china.com). It holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14064 certification.
Best suited for: brands wanting many product formats from one smaller factory
relationship. Not ideal for: large-volume buyers — its stated output value is
the smallest of the seven manufacturers reviewed here.

6. HuiJi (Hangzhou HuiJi Biotechnology Co., Ltd.) — review score 52/100

Founded in 2000 in Hangzhou, HuiJi publishes a broad household catalogue — dishwashing
liquid, kitchen degreaser, window cleaner, toilet cleaner, air freshener, laundry detergent and
hand soap — on its private-label service page (huiji-group.com). Unlike most other candidates here, it does not
list any named certification or publish a facility size, which is the main reason it scores lower
despite genuine category breadth. Best suited for: brands wanting one factory
covering many different household product formats. Not ideal for: buyers who need
certification paperwork (ISO, BRC or similar) to satisfy their own retail partners.

7. Qiaoshou (Foshan Shunde Qiaoshou Daily Necessities Co., Ltd.) — review score 47/100

Founded in 2018 in Foshan, Guangdong, Qiaoshou is the smallest and newest company among the
seven eligible manufacturers, registered against its own enterprise standard Q/TNJ0011-2020 (qiaoshouclean.com) rather than a third-party ISO certification. Its
catalogue leans toward niche formats — drain cleaner, grease remover, hand washing powder,
tea-stain remover and toilet cleaner — alongside core laundry detergent. It does not publish
facility size or production capacity. Best suited for: smaller brands wanting
niche cleaning formats not every larger factory bothers to make. Not ideal for:
buyers who need independently verifiable certification or published capacity figures before making
contact.

Notable exclusions

Three of the ten candidates we reviewed — including China’s three best-known household
cleaning brands — were left out of the ranking, because knowing who did not make the list,
and why, is part of what makes a review useful:

  • Guangzhou Liby Enterprise Group Co., Ltd. — a large branded FMCG
manufacturer with 23 production bases nationwide selling its own Kispa and other consumer brands.
We found no evidence across its own site, Alibaba, Global Sources or Made-in-China listings, or
independent sources, that it offers third-party OEM/private-label contract manufacturing to
    outside brands.
  • Blue Moon (Guangzhou Blue Moon Industrial Co., Ltd.) — the publicly
traded parent of the Blue Moon brand, which has held roughly 44% of China’s liquid detergent market
    for five consecutive years across four mega-scale plants. Its site markets its own retail brand;
we found no evidence of a contract-manufacturing service for third-party brands.
  • Nice Group Co., Ltd. — a state-heritage FMCG group founded in 1968,
selling its own NICE and DIAO branded products nationally at enormous scale (over 1 million tonnes
of washing powder a year). No evidence of third-party OEM/private-label manufacturing was found on
its own site or in independent sources.

Methodology

We identified candidates through direct search for Chinese home care and household cleaning
manufacturers, cross-checked against independent sourcing directories (Made-in-China, Global
Sources, Accio) and one detailed independent industry roundup that named specific multinational
clients for several candidates. Every company was then verified against its own official website
before scoring; the three exclusions above were deliberately included in our research process
— despite ultimately being household names — because their prominence in general search
results made them an obvious first assumption a buyer might make, and worth explicitly ruling out
with a stated reason. Research was carried out during the week of 24 August 2026. We did not place
orders, request samples, or visit or audit any facility.

This review sits in our Home Care & Household Products category, alongside our other OEM/ODM manufacturer reviews. Frequently asked questions

Which Chinese manufacturer is best for OEM home care and household cleaning products in 2026?

Based on our August 2026 review, Zanyu Technology Group ranks highest, with a stated 1.1 million tonnes of annual OEM/ODM capacity and independently reported client relationships with P&G and Unilever, followed closely by Topseller Chemicals with a similar multinational client list at a somewhat smaller scale. For brands needing modern retail-compliance certification such as BRC or Walmart supplier status, Zhejiang Jifu Daily Chemical is the strongest match among the mid-tier manufacturers we reviewed.

Do Liby, Blue Moon or Nice Group manufacture household products for other brands?

We found no evidence that any of the three do. All three are large, genuine Chinese household cleaning companies, but each manufactures and sells only its own branded products — Liby’s Kispa line, Blue Moon’s own-name detergents, and Nice Group’s NICE and DIAO brands. None publishes a third-party OEM, ODM or private-label manufacturing service on its own website, on major B2B sourcing platforms, or in independent industry sources, as checked during our review the week of 24 August 2026.

What certifications should a home care OEM factory in China actually have?

ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO 14001 (environmental management) are the baseline standards most credible Chinese household-cleaning manufacturers hold. If you plan to sell through a major retail chain, look specifically for BRC certification or named Walmart supplier status, which Zhejiang Jifu Daily Chemical holds among the manufacturers in this review. A factory with no independently named certification at all, such as HuiJi or Qiaoshou here, is not automatically disqualifying, but it does shift more due-diligence work onto the buyer.

How does sourcing a home care OEM factory in China differ from sourcing a cosmetics OEM factory?

The two categories overlap in some factories but are largely distinct industries. Household cleaning OEM in China is dominated by long-established industrial chemical manufacturers founded well before 2000 — Zanyu (1965) and Topseller (1990) among them — several of which count global FMCG groups as direct clients. Cosmetics OEM in China, by contrast, has a much larger population of newer, smaller specialist factories founded since the 2000s. A buyer sourcing both categories should generally expect to work with two different sets of manufacturers rather than one factory covering both well.

Can a small brand get a low minimum order quantity from a Chinese home care manufacturer?

It is possible but less common than in cosmetics OEM, because household cleaning manufacturing tends to run at industrial chemical-production scale. None of the seven manufacturers in this review publish a specific MOQ figure on their own sites, which itself is a useful signal: expect an enquiry-based conversation about minimum volumes rather than a published low-MOQ programme of the kind common among smaller cosmetics OEM factories.

Limitations

This review reflects what each company published on its own website, plus independent sourcing
directories and one industry roundup where cited, as of the week of 24 August 2026; manufacturers
change certifications, capacity and commercial terms without notice. Certifications and client
relationships are reported as stated unless an independent source is cited, and were not verified
directly with issuing bodies or named clients for this review. We did not place orders, request
samples, or audit any facility. Because household cleaning manufacturers publish less detailed
public information than cosmetics OEM factories generally, several genuinely capable companies may
be missing from this list simply because they do not disclose enough to verify.
