Quick answer
Weryx Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is a small NPRA-listed cosmetics factory in Gong Badak, Kuala Nerus, Terengganu, founded in 2022 by Dr Muhd Ridzuan, a medical microbiologist and former medical-school lecturer. It trades publicly as Dr. Ridzuan Manufacturing and makes creams, serums and cleansers, many of them for clinic-channel and sensitive-skin brands, alongside its own eczema-focused DERMCARE line. It holds 94 active product notifications, 114th of 355 manufacturers. There is no company website, no published MOQ or lead time, and its JAKIM halal certificate lists no products. For brands that want a science-led small-batch partner on the east coast, it is worth a conversation; for volume or paperwork, ask hard questions first.
Key takeaways
- A doctor's factory. Founded and led by Dr Muhd Ridzuan, PhD in medical microbiology (UniSZA), previously a senior lecturer at MSU's medical school.
- Cosmeceutical, not cosmetic. Creams, serums and cleansers dominate; its own DERMCARE brand targets eczema and fungal skin conditions and is sold through clinics.
- Small and young. 94 active notifications, incorporated March 2022, one premise, 29 clients.
- It hides in plain sight. Everything public is under "Dr. Ridzuan Manufacturing"; a search for "Weryx" finds an empty Google listing.
- Halal certificate lists no products (JAKIM portal, 20 Sep 2026).
- A founder who argues for compliance in public: he blogs against the misuse of NPRA notification numbers by brand owners.
Who this profile is for
For clinic, pharmacy-adjacent and sensitive-skin brand owners, and for east-coast founders, who want a small research-led manufacturer and need to know what is verifiable about it before starting development.

What does Weryx actually make?
Skincare, not colour. Sorting its 94 active notifications by product name: creams, lotions and gels 21, serums and essences 14, lip products 12, cleansers 7, soaps and body washes 5, perfume 5, with small numbers of sunscreen and hair products. Its stated capability is "liquid-based and cream cosmetic products" (company-stated, from its own recruitment listings).
The clinical slant is visible in its own brand. DERMCARE is positioned for eczema, psoriasis and fungal or bacterial skin conditions, marketed as steroid-free and SLS-free, and distributed through named clinics. The founder is a medical microbiologist, and the company describes itself as "the first on the east coast" to run an OEM service based on a research and analysis laboratory (company-stated).
How big is the factory?
About 969 m² under one roof. We measured the building marked by the company's Google listing, a detached steel-framed shed in the Gong Badak industrial area, on Google Maps satellite imagery (22 Sep 2026). Google has no Street View coverage inside the estate, so the aerial view is the best public picture of the site. It is the company's only premise on NPRA's list.

Who are its clients?
Small brands, spread thin, with no single anchor account. From the 6 Sep 2026 extract:
| Brand owner (NPRA holder) | Active products | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Imanix International Sdn Bhd | 14 | 14.9% |
| Ridz Herbs Lab | 12 | 12.8% |
| HM Skincare & Beauty Sdn Bhd (Beauty Loops) | 12 | 12.8% |
| DASC International Sdn Bhd (Dr Anne) | 10 | 10.6% |
| Khaya Ilham Sdn Bhd | 6 | 6.4% |
| Sinar Rezeki Global Sdn Bhd | 6 | 6.4% |
| Famos Hub Sdn Bhd | 4 | 4.3% |
Fifteen of its 29 clients have a single product. Four of them also manufacture elsewhere, which is a low rate: most of its customers make everything here. Filing volume by year: 18 in 2024, 53 in 2025 and 23 in the first eight months of 2026.
Who is Dr Ridzuan?
According to his own published bio (company-stated, read 20 Sep 2026): a PhD in medical microbiology from the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin; an MSc in medical science from IIUM; clinical training in the pathology department of Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan, Kuantan, between 2012 and 2015; senior lecturer and assistant professor at the International Medical School, Management & Science University, from 2018 to 2021, before moving full-time into industry. He claims a 2017 Young Investigator Award from the Terengganu State Health Department and more than 40 publications. We did not verify the publication count; his research profiles were not readable to us.
Two details stand out. First, JAKIM's record for Weryx lists him as the company's first responsible officer, which ties the person to the corporate entity. Second, he publishes a blog post attacking what he calls the manipulation tactics used by OEM brand owners around NPRA notification numbers — an unusual public position for a factory owner, and a useful signal of how he sells.
What is verifiable, and what is not
Verified. The Gong Badak premise is on NPRA's QUEST list, which records it as complying with ASEAN Cosmetic GMP. The company is registered (March 2022) and active. The JAKIM certificate exists in the contract-manufacturing category. No Weryx product appears in the government's cancelled-cosmetics dataset or on NPRA's cancellation list.
Company-stated, unverified. "GMP certified and Halal recognition from JAKIM", "first on the east coast" with a research and analysis laboratory, the founder's awards and publication count. No certificate numbers are published for GMP or halal, and we found no ISO certification of any kind.
Not published at all. MOQ, lead time, production capacity, floor area, staff count, years of OEM experience, number of brands served, and any export markets. There is no company website: we probed five plausible domains and none resolve. OEM enquiries run through a Facebook page and recruitment ads.
A naming trap. The factory's public identity is "Dr. Ridzuan Manufacturing". Its Google listing under that name has a 5.0 rating from 14 reviews; the duplicate listing under "Weryx Manufacturing Sdn Bhd" has no rating at all. Anyone checking the legal name alone would conclude the company has no reviews.
Strengths
- Genuine technical leadership in a trade where most owners are marketers.
- Cosmeceutical focus — eczema, sensitive skin, clinic distribution — where formulation quality matters more than shade counts.
- Small-brand friendly: half its clients have one or two products.
Limitations
- Very little disclosure: no website, no MOQ, no lead time, no capacity.
- Halal certificate lists no products.
- Small scale: 94 active products, one premise, in Terengganu — a consideration for brands that need volume or frequent factory visits from the Klang Valley.
- No verifiable ISO certification.
- Ownership not public: directors and shareholders sit behind a paid company-search report.
Best suited for, and not ideal for
Best suited for: clinic, dermatology-adjacent and sensitive-skin brands that want a formulator with a medical-science background, and east-coast founders who want their manufacturer nearby.
Not ideal for: colour cosmetics and perfume programmes, brands needing halal on the factory's certificate today, retail or export buyers who require documented ISO quality systems, or anyone needing large-volume capacity.
Questions to ask before you start
- Which certificates do you hold, with numbers and issuing bodies? May I see the GMP and halal certificates?
- Will my product be listed on your halal certificate, or do I apply under my own company?
- What is the MOQ and lead time for a cream and for a serum, first order and repeat?
- What laboratory testing comes with each batch, and can I see a sample report?
- Which legal entity will invoice me: Weryx Manufacturing, or another company in the group?
FAQ
Is Weryx Manufacturing the same as Dr. Ridzuan Manufacturing?
They are the same operation at the same address. Weryx Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (SSM 202201010098) is the registered company on NPRA's manufacturer list; "Dr. Ridzuan Manufacturing" is the name used publicly, on Facebook and on the Google listing that carries its reviews.
Is Weryx halal certified?
It holds a JAKIM certificate in the contract-manufacturing category, reference 058-01/2023. On 20 Sep 2026 no products were listed under that certificate on the Halal Malaysia Portal. Halal in Malaysia is granted per product, so confirm in writing who will apply for yours.
What does Weryx make?
Creams, serums, cleansers, soaps and some lip and hair products — 94 active notifications in the 6 Sep 2026 NPRA extract. Its own DERMCARE range targets eczema and other skin conditions and is sold through clinics.
Where is the factory?
PM803, Lot 22197, Kawasan Perindustrian Gong Badak, 21300 Kuala Nerus, Terengganu. It is the only Weryx premise on NPRA's QUEST list, and the address matches its Google listing.
What is Weryx's minimum order quantity?
Not published. Neither MOQ nor lead time appears on any of its channels, and it has no corporate website. Ask for both in writing in the quotation.
Is Weryx one of the top OEM manufacturers in Malaysia?
Not by size. Its 94 active notifications place it 114th of 355 Malaysian cosmetics manufacturers (NPRA extract, 6 Sep 2026), and with 91 contract-manufactured products it falls below the 150-product entry screen of our evidence report on Malaysia's skincare OEM manufacturers. Its distinction is the founder's medical-science background and its clinic-channel focus, not scale.
